Choosing quality child care is an important decision. Good child care that provides a healthy environment and a wide range of enriching experiences is important for your child’s growth and development.

BrightStars was developed to help you select the best care for your child. Child care programs participating in BrightStars volunteer to have their quality rated on a five star scale.

Any program participating in BrightStars provides a level of care beyond what is required by state regulations.

Any licensed child care center, preschool, or family child care home in Rhode Island can participate in BrightStars. Soon, licensed school-age programs will be able to join.
