This is an exciting time to join Meeting Street as we are nearing completion of our brand-new Early Childhood Center!

Meeting Street is currently looking for an Teacher Assistant Substitute in the Early Learning Center.

Provide support to the Teacher in carrying out daily activities, supervision, hygiene, classroom cleanliness, feeding, personal care, implementing curriculum and assessment of children in the toddler classroom.
Provide individual and group support to children with and without IEP needs, making adjustments and accommodations so that all children can learn and grow in a truly inclusive environment.
Facilitate interactions to create opportunities for social/emotional growth, and opportunities to develop individual age-appropriate self-help skills.
Implement age-appropriate classroom behavior management by demonstrating positive guidance, giving sensory breaks and input along with redirection, and modeling conflict resolution.
Communicate with families daily regarding their child’s activities and progress verbally at drop-off and pick-up, throughout the day using the Brightwheel app, and by zoom, email and phone to enhance the parent/school partnership.
Substitute positions are called to work on an as-needed basis to cover absences of regular staff or to support additional staffing needs.

Current CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential or 12+ College credits earned in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or Early Childhood Special Education.
Valid CPR and first aid training/certification
A minimum of 1 year working experience with young children, birth to age 5.
