Position Description:
We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and skilled teacher to join our early childhood community. An educator who will create a peaceful, joyful, and nurturing environment where two- and three-year-olds feel safe, known, and deeply cared for. This educator understands the importance of responsive relationships, play-based learning, and supporting children’s growing independence, language, and social-emotional development.

We are especially interested in an educator who loves classroom teaching but is also beginning to imagine the next chapter of their career. For a candidate who demonstrates strong teaching, judgment, communication, initiative, and leadership, this position has the opportunity to grow into an Assistant Director role. Leadership opportunities may include mentoring and supporting teachers, helping guide curriculum and classroom practice, welcoming new families, supporting enrollment and community events and assisting with daily school operations. The ideal candidate is patient, collaborative, observant, and passionate about early childhood education.A Unique Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
*Child Development & Classroom Practice
*Create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for toddlers.
*Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
*Support children’s emerging language, self-help, social-emotional, and motor skills.
*Foster curiosity, exploration, and independence through hands-on learning.
*Observe children closely and document growth, interests, and milestones.
*Guide behavior with patience, consistency, and positive redirection.
*Maintain daily routines including meals, rest, toileting/diapering, transitions, and outdoor play.Relationships & Communication:
*Build trusting relationships with children and families.
*Communicate regularly with families regarding daily experiences, progress, and needs.
*Partner with colleagues to create consistency and continuity of care.
*Participate in parent conferences, classroom events, and school community activities.Collaboration & Professionalism:
*Work closely with co-teachers and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
*Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space.
*Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and trainings.
*Follow all health, safety, licensing, and school policies.
*Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred (but not required)
Experience working with children.
Knowledge of child development and best practices for young children.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Warm, calm, and dependable presence.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
