Position Description:
The Childcare Center at McAuley Village is opening soon and will include Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School Age After School care.
This this is a part-time position for after school care for school aged children.
The After School Leader/Teacher is responsible for assisting the Education Coordinator/Director with operating a licensed school age childcare, assisting with special events, and developing relationships with children and parents as needed.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to oversee and engage with children in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, fostering their development, and ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere. This role involves leading activities, managing classroom dynamics, and providing support to both children and staff.
Qualifications:
18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED Certificate)
At least 1 year of experience working with school-age children
Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking is beneficial
Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, economic background, etc.)
Proof of required immunizations for RI Childcare Workers.
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Completion of Criminal Record Background Check
