Position Description:
Join our center as a Preschool Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire the next generation of learners! In this dynamic role, you will lead a 3yr old to 5yr old mixed age classroom. Developing activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes growth and curiosity. Duties
Work side by side with the center's Director throughout the day.
Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, incorporating the RIELDS.
Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports behavior management and child welfare, ensuring each child's emotional and social well-being.
Lead daily classroom activities, guiding children through age-appropriate learning experiences in the setting.
Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs and foster strong partnerships.
Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, promoting best practices in childcare, classroom management, and childhood development.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
Experience working with children across various age groups.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively.
Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
Experience with daycare or private school settings is preferred; certification in early childhood education is highly valued.
The physical ability to play at a child's level.
